About me
My first introduction to programming was screwing around in Code Monkey coming up with scripts to make the hungry monkey find and get a small or plentiful amount of bananas in the map in 6th grade. In 11th grade I got introduced to robot controllers through a solo project I was doing, advised by my cousin who was doing his phd in robotics at NYU. Through endless debugging, head smashing, stack overflow questions, and python tutorials I managed to build a functioning impedance controller from scratch. That experience sorta cemented a love for mechatronics, robotics, and controls deep within me. In my freshman year, I decided I would immerse myself in controls and robotics. Except that is a fairytale idea. After almost a year in one of Berkeley's premier robotics labs I wanted to branch out. By pure chance that semester, I took my first CS class CS61b. Taking it truly was the best decision I ever made. From the first assignment to the last, the concepts were captivating and solving every challenge felt incredibly satisfying. A couple semesters later I got hooked on leetcode and I took a bunch more CS classes like OS, comp architecture, computer security and cryptography, algorithms (enrolled and dropped towards the end due to time conflicts), optimization theory, machine learning, probability and discrete math, as well as both robotics courses Berkeley offers. I have also done an internship at AWS learning how SWE works in real life. Currently I would say my journey as a programmer has just begun and I have a lot to learn and level up on- I know the list of interesting topics is massive and becoming a true master requires endless dedication.
